strange furniture

In my searches for furniture and accessories I have seen some strange and interesting items. I thought it would be fun to show some of the strange but true. Although there might be a few items shown here that appeal to some of your unique needs. So please don't take offense.

The Gentle Ewe Ottoman
Sturdy enough to support a 250lb person, this gentle ewe of the orvis aries variety is amazingly true to life. With her thick striated fur, velvet muzzle, and soulful eyes, she looks as though she just wandered in from the pasture. Steel reinforced, with poseable head and ears, so no two in the herd need look exactly alike. Useful for seating, or to accept a casually flung coat, and always a conversation starter.

The Car Couch
Love fancy cars but can’t afford to keep a whole one around? How about just the back end? This car couch (top) is nothing like the tacky versions from the 80s. This is smooth, luxurious Aston Martin DB6 - just like James Bond would sit on if he ever sat around watching movies and eating potato chips.

The Wave Chaise (my son wants this)
The Wave Chaise (your teenager (or you, if you’re game) might need entertainment-wise. Watch TV and movies, play video games, do homework, listen to CDs, read a book, talk on the phone or take a nap in this futuristic-looking pod.

The Wall Climbing Sofa
This wall-climbing sofa by Lila Jang is the perfect for that odd corner of the house where no other furniture fits It’s part of the 2007 contemporary art exhibition Parcours Saint Germain in Paris - via basic_sounds

Toronto's Julia West Home has been doing transformer furniture for years; This very simple coffee table has a top that lifts off, lines up perfectly with the base, with a mattress inside that unfolds, creating a guest bed. No expensive mechanisms necessary, nothing to break or wear out. US$ 900 in wood veneer, more in solid woods. . ::Julia West
